Conceived and performed by The Silver City Museum
The Silver City Museum will present an interactive puppet show and follow up make it-take it craft activity about the famous Latino tale La Llorona. The performance and activity will be based upon local versions of this tale collected in Silver City through its Chihuahua Hill History Project. Children and family members will engage with the play’s characters during the presentation and then create and take home their own puppets decorated with traditional Chihuahuan designs and using inspirations from the local environment. The performance/activity will take place several times throughout each day of the Fiesta.
