Juan García Mendoza leads a family-based workshop focused on palm weaving. He works alongside ten women artisans from his community who contribute to the making and finishing of various pieces. The workshop produces palm bags with leather handles, boxes, lamps, and other utilitarian and decorative objects, employing traditional techniques such as the Mixtec knot. The work is characterized by geometric patterns, a mix of dyed and natural fibers, and the adaptation of traditional forms to modern-day uses.
