Isaac Armando is a wool textile artisan from Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca. He and his family create wool rugs using 100% natural dyes. He learned to weave from his father at the age of 9, and over time, he refined his technique. At 15, he won first place in a competition organized by the Friends of Oaxaca Folk Art Foundation in Oaxaca.

Isaac has earned multiple first, second, and third-place awards, as well as national recognition. He belongs to the third generation of weavers in his family. He deeply enjoys his craft because every piece they create expresses a part of their feelings and their Zapotec heritage.
