Colores de copal is a collective founded in 1965. Colores de Copal creates unique handcrafted pieces using copal wood, intricately carved and hand-painted with Zapotec symbols and floral designs. Their work includes collectible figures, kitchen utensils such as spoons, tortilla holders, napkin rings, cutting boards, and molinillos, as well as artisanal accessories like bracelets, necklaces, pendants, earrings, keychains, jewelry boxes, and mirrors. They also makes traditional wooden toys such as spinning tops, yoyos, and cars, all showcasing the beauty of Zapotec cultural heritage.
