The Papelmalecho workshop is part of Centro de Integración Tapalpa A.C., a nonprofit organization that empowers women from rural communities through art. Held in the communities of Attaco (Tapalpa, Jalisco) and Varillas (Atemajac de Brizuela), the workshops bring together around 30 women and their children. Using recycled materials like PET bottles, cans, cardboard, and wood, they create vibrant decorative pieces such as flowers, baskets, jewelry boxes, crescent moons, and more. Their work stands out for its creative forms, use of pointillism and floral painting techniques, and strong commitment to sustainability and community expression.

For the Fiesta Latina  Festival 2025 the workshop would be represented by Adriana Favela Martínez and her assistant, Margareth Roche.
