Javier Ramírez is one of Metepec’s foremost artisans, known for his incredibly detailed Trees of Life. His work can be found in museums in Texas, California, and Illinois, as well as in private collections across the United States and Europe.

One of his proudest achievements was creating a 10-foot-tall Tree of Life, crafted on both sides, for the Vatican.

In 2016, he traveled to Vancouver, Canada, to create a two-meter-tall Tree of Life for the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia (MOA).

Trees of Life are admired for their creative richness and meticulous detail. These visually stunning creations are a testament to the talent and imagination of Mexican artisans.
