Admissions

This event is FREE to the public. Your booth fees are an important part of keeping this a free festival. We thank you!  Fiesta Latina is being marketed throughout New Mexico, southern Arizona and Texas.

The 1st Annual Fiesta Latina will take place on the campus of Western New Mexico University in Silver City, New Mexico at The Gardens and Hunter Hall Plaza surrounding areas.  1000 W. College Ave., Silver City, NM.

Friday, June 16

“Sneak Peak” and Opening Reception – No Charge for vendors. <br/>
General Public:  Tickets $10 –  Includes light snacks, no host bar and music.
Vendors will be highlighted throughout the evening event.
5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.


Artisans must be fully set up by 3:30pm and be on site until 7pm.

Saturday, June 17

Artisan booths, light music, workshops, demonstrations, food vendors
10:00 am – 7:30 pm
Ticketed Music Event
8:00 pm – 11:00 pm

 

Tequila Tasting – $20, 10 tastes (Tasting Cup included)
1:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Sunday, June 18

Artisan booths, light music, workshops, demonstrations, food vendors
10:00 noon – 5:00 pm

 

Artisans must be fully set up by 11:30am and be on-site until 6pm

Lodging

Vendors will be offered complimentary lodging in the WNMU campus residence halls

Fees & Regulations

Booth Info

Standard booth spaces are 10’ x 10’. Vendors may purchase more than one space at the same rate.  Tents, tables and chairs (1 table and two chairs per booth) will be provided by Fiesta Latina.  Vendors provide their own floor length tablecloths (required).

Fees

ALL FEES WAIVED FOR THE FIRST ANNUAL FIESTA LATINA!

All 10’ x 10’ booth spaces are $50 each.  A minimum $25.00 deposit is due with all applications. (Deposit is only refunded if you are not chosen to participate.)  Rates for tables are $7.50/each and chairs are $.95/each.

Deadline

Vendor applications and deposit must be received no later than June 3, 2017.

Acceptance notification will be sent out by mid-April. Booth fees are due upon acceptance.

Insurance

Vendor will be required to provide WNMU with a current certificate of insurance,

showing liability limits of no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence for premise and operations

liability, and naming WNMU as an additional insured.

Prohibited Items

The following items can NOT be displayed, sold or dispersed: alcohol, firearms, pornography of any kind, controlled substances of any kind, drug related paraphernalia, and offensive and/or profane items. The Fiesta Latina logo is trade marked by Western New Mexico University and cannot be used on any merchandise without written consent of WNMU. WNMU has the sole authority to determine if a vendor has violated this policy, and if it is concluded this policy has been violated, the vendor will be removed for the remainder of the event without a refund of any of the vendor fee. Please discuss any questionable items in advance.

Electricity

Sales Tax

WNMU will collect, pay all applicable taxes.

No city vending permit is required.

Security

Security is provided Friday and Saturday nights from 7:00 pm until 9:00 am. Vendor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless WNMU for any loss or damage to property. Please plan accordingly.

  • WNMU maintains the right to remove any vendor that is in violation of the policies and rules of Fiesta Latina. This includes, but is not limited to, the laws of Silver City, New Mexico.
  • WNMU reserves the right to refuse OR remove (prior to) or during the event any vendor whose products, intentions, or attitudes are not compatible with the family-oriented nature of Fiesta Latina.
  • Re-selling or subletting your assigned booth space is not permitted.
  • Exhibitors must be at least 18 years old.
  • No pets are allowed on festival grounds.
